Ramco Systems partners with Altron for UAE, Saudi payroll
Ramco Systems Limited, a global payroll software provider based in India, has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Ramco Systems FZ-LLC, has entered into a partnership with Altron, a South African technology group. Under the agreement, Altron will offer Ramco Payce to its enterprise customers in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia through its local entities, Altron Middle East Technologies LLC and Altron Alarabia Company Limited.
The partnership combines Ramco’s payroll software with Altron’s regional implementation and support capabilities. Altron will manage implementation, front-line support, and commercial terms, while Ramco provides the software, secure cloud hosting, and advanced technical support. The arrangement includes data residency options in Saudi Arabia to meet local compliance requirements.
Local expertise for regional payroll compliance
Altron’s managing director for the Middle East, Craig Cocker, emphasized the importance of payroll accuracy and compliance in the region. “Payroll is where workforce data becomes money in people’s accounts, so it has to be accurate and compliant every cycle, whether that’s WPS in the UAE or GOSI and Mudad in Saudi Arabia,” he said, according to EquityBulls. Altron already helps enterprises in the region manage workforce functions such as scheduling, attendance, leave, and labor costs. Adding Ramco Payce extends that support to payroll, offering customers a single accountable local partner with teams in Dubai and Riyadh.
Ramco’s product depth and global reach
Ramco Payce is trusted by more than 500 customers worldwide and offers global payroll coverage across over 150 countries. The solution integrates with leading HCM providers and can be used as a platform or managed service. Recent enhancements include self-service reporting, an actionable payroll workspace, and a quick implementation toolkit. Ramco also incorporates robotic process automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to deliver a touchless payroll experience.
Sandesh Bilagi, chief executive officer of Ramco Systems, said the partnership pairs Ramco’s product depth with Altron’s local closeness. “Getting pay right, every time, is fundamental to the trust between an organisation and its people,” he said, according to EquityBulls. Rohit Mathur, executive vice president and SBU head for global payroll and HR at Ramco, noted that payroll regulations in the Gulf continue to evolve and that Ramco Payce is built to absorb those changes into the pay cycle.
What this means for HR and payroll teams
For HR and payroll teams in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, the partnership offers a streamlined engagement model with faster on-the-ground support. Enterprises can work with a single local partner for implementation and front-line issues while relying on Ramco’s enterprise-grade payroll technology. The availability of Saudi data residency options addresses local data sovereignty requirements, though specific compliance obligations vary by jurisdiction and organization. The combination of local expertise and a global platform may help organizations manage payroll accuracy and regulatory updates more efficiently.
